Examination for and against.

Examinations are being used in every school in the world. Exams are a way to test students brains whether they are eligible to go on to a higher grade. Some HCT students say examinations are unfair way of assessment and should not be used at HCT. However, there are both positive and negative sides of examinations. I’m going to discuss both sides of the argument whether to ban examinations or not.

I’ll deal first with the positive side of why examinations should be banned. First, if exams are banned it will save a lot of time for some students. It even will make students spend more time with their family.

A further point is that students should be assessed by their homework and projects to be equally fair.

I would also argue that teachers can do better assessments and understand more of their own students, it depends on their technique and skills on how they are getting along with the students and they should have the right to choose whether the students passes or not.

Although, there is positive side of the argument, there is also a negative side. First exams should be used in every school; exams are undoubtly the way to motivate students mind. For example, when there are exams, the human brain always tries to memorize the knowledge that the students gain from studying which makes the brain stronger.

There are strong arguments both for and against exams but, In my opinion, I think education wouldn’t be so important without the tests and also a lot of people will be less knowledge.
